For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be in Playboy. I discovered my dad’s Playboys when I was about four and I would sneak peeks at them when no one was looking. I was fascinated by the beautiful girls and I knew that I wanted to be just like them someday. In 1998, Playboy did a search for the Millennium Playmate, so I went to San Francisco to do a Polaroid test. A week and a half later I got a call from Playboy asking me to come to Los Angeles and do a real test at the studio for Playmate. This meant I got to stay at the Mansion for three days, meet Hef and do a real photo shoot with Playboy’s makeup artists and photographers! I was so excited and on the top of the world! I waited on pins and needles for months and never heard anything. Finally, about a year and half later I got a letter from Playboy saying they decided not to use my pictures. I was devastated. I put all my attention into my education and earned a B.A. in communications from CSU Sacramento and then graduated with a master of arts degree in communications from the University of the Pacific. Even with my degrees, I still wanted to pose for Playboy. In 2001, I took my savings and moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of being in the magazine. Within six months I was dating Hef, and in less than a year I moved into the Mansion.
